May 26 at 10am is the parade running from the Township Park in New Bedford to
the Point at Marr Road and SR 208.
At 11am is the service at the Point. In the event of rain, the parade will
end at the New Bedford Presbyterian Church and the service will be held there.
A CPR class for the public will be held on Wednesday, June 13 at 6:30pm at
the Township Municipal Building. The class is sponsored by the Pulaski Township
Board of Supervisors and the Pulaski Township Volunteer Fire Department. The
class is open to everyone. Cost is $5 per person.
Letter Drive 2012 is being sent using the Every Door
Direct Mail option offered by the Post Office. This year's mailings look
different because of the size requirement (the mailer had to be a
"flat"). The Department chose to use the Every Door Direct
Mail option as there were concerns over the accuracy of the mailing list that
was used by a third-party marketing company. Several people have
reported receiving up to three mailers, others did not receive any. By
using the Every Door Direct Mail, addresses are not needed as it is designed
for full saturation of selected postal routes. A special thank you
goes to Lenny and Beverly at the New Bedford Post Office for suggesting that
the department does their own mailing using Every Door Direct Mail.
Faye Garrett Costarell has a passion for the history of
Pulaski Township and a talent for writing. She compiled information from
minutes and stories concerning the formation of the Pulaski Township Volunteer
Fire Department circa 1950. The compiled history has been published as
part of the letter drive.
An electronic copy is available here. Faye is working on more volumes for
the later years. The next project is to answer the question:
"Who were the people that formed the Pulaski Township Volunteer Fire
Department?" Biographies are being assembled of the early
members. Anyone with information about the early members and wish to
share, please contact Faye Costarell at FayeCostarell@msn.com.
Thank you Faye for sharing your talent for writing and passion for Pulaski
Township history.

Villa will have the mailers in the mail boxes by April 24.
