2010-2011 Winter Letter Fund Drive
The 2010-2011 Winter Letter Fund Drive will be mailed shortly. We attempt to keep our address list current. If you do not receive a mailer, but still wish to donate please do so. Any donation of any amount helps your department greatly. Updates as to when the mailing occurs will be posted at Letter Drive Mailing.
For your financial safety concerning donations.
Verify the mailing address is that of Pulaski Township Volunteer Fire Company. Use authentic published sources such as a phone book, automated directory, or pulaskitownship.com. Look over your check or money order, make sure that what is written is accurate. The bank uses the dollar amount that is in script. Check your bank statements to make sure that there is no error with your donation. If there is an error please send a letter to the department explaining the error. We will check our records and do what we can to make it right.
Please take note that Pulaski Township Volunteer Fire Department does not solicit donations via e-mail or phone. If you are contacted by phone or e-mail for donations attempt to obtain as much information as you can without giving your personal information.
One option to obtain information is saying to the caller: “I would like to donate but my “spouse” has the credit card. As soon as “he/she” comes home I can call you back to make the donation. What is your telephone number, so I return the call?” Ask for a mailing address: “I’m sorry but I don’t have a credit card, may I mail a check instead? What is the mailing address?” Some callers may get forceful and allude that you are a bad person for not donating. Some go to the extent of blaming life or property loss on lack of donations. Since you are not donating the loss of life or property is your fault. Do not fall for this ploy. Just hang up. Do not tolerate the caller.
The second option is to note the time as to when the call is received. With your permission phone records can be checked to see where the call originated.
If you are solicited for donations by phone or e-mail please report it directly to Officer Chad Adams, Officer Jeff Wiesen, or Officer Randall Courson of the Pulaski Township Police Department at 724.656.9300 or 724.964.8891 ext.104. Remember do not send cash by mail as the postal service does not approve. Use check or money order made out to Pulaski Township Volunteer Fire Company. Use the mailing address of 3535 Evergreen Rd, PO Box 336, New Bedford, PA 16140. Put the mailing to the attention of the treasurer. Thank you.
